01 — Why Morocco, why now
Morocco is having the strongest decade in its modern economic history. Capital is arriving, ports and rail are being built, and European manufacturers are running out of people at home. Here is what the numbers say.
Foreign direct investment reached $3.3 billion in 2025 and net inflows grew 26%. Money is not waiting for the perfect moment. It is already moving.

Ministry of Economy and FinanceTanger Med is the largest port in Africa. Morocco holds free trade agreements with the EU, the United States, the UK and Turkey, and reaches 54 African markets through AfCFTA. One factory, three continents.
AfCFTA · Tanger Med Port AuthorityA young, trained, multilingual workforce: Arabic, French, English, Spanish. An hour of time difference at most from Brussels and Paris, three hours by plane. Europe cannot fill its production lines. Morocco can.
Ministry of Economy and Finance02 — How this market really works
Every file in this country has a name attached to it. The paperwork is real. The rules are real. But paper does not move on its own. Someone carries it.
The difference between six weeks and six months is whether that someone knows you, trusts you and picks up the phone.
This is not a shortcut around the system. It is the system, here and in most of Africa. Foreign companies lose years learning that the hard way.
Advice you can buy anywhere. What you cannot buy is a first meeting with the right person, in the right room, at the right moment.
A wrong first meeting costs a year. A wrong partner costs more than that. Most European companies that failed in Morocco did not fail on price or product. They failed on the door they walked through.
You are not buying consultancy. You are buying time.
We knock on the right doors, first time.
We never publish, name or trade on our network. That discretion is exactly why it still works. For them, and for you.
03 — Services
We work with companies, funds and family groups. Not with private individuals, not with people looking for a place to retire. Every engagement is built around one decision you are trying to make.
Structure, registration, banking, licences, tax and the local partners you will actually depend on. From a first exploratory visit to a company that trades.
Europe cannot find people. Morocco can. Sites, industrial zones, workforce, suppliers, customs and export routes. Three hours from Brussels, inside your working day, with duty-free access to the EU.
Land, water rights, certification, processing and export. We have done this ourselves: from the tree to the container, certified in Morocco and in Belgium.
Hotels, resorts, land and commercial assets. Title checked before the brochure, permits before the payment, and an honest read on what the asset is really worth.
Ministries, regions, agencies and the offices in between. We put your file in front of the person who can decide on it, and we keep it moving.
Moroccan banks, insurers and industrial groups have been operating across West and Central Africa for twenty years. Use their roads instead of building your own. 54 markets, one base.
04 — How we work
Every file is different. The sequence never is.
One long conversation about what you are actually trying to build, what worries you, and what your board will accept. It costs nothing, and it sometimes ends with us saying Morocco is not your answer.
We name the real obstacles, the people who control them, the honest timeline and the cost. You get a route, not a report.
We make the introductions, we sit in the meetings, we translate what is said and what is meant. You meet decision makers, not intermediaries.
Signed, licensed, staffed, producing. We stay on the file until the thing you came for exists.
No brochures. No standard packages. If we cannot help you, you hear it in the first conversation.
05 — Proof
Names are shared privately, with the client's permission. Discretion is part of what you buy.
An eco-logistics group was comparing Eastern Europe and Asia for the assembly of its cargo bikes. We mapped Morocco against both: labour, components, customs, transport time back to Belgium, and the industrial zones that actually had capacity. Then we put them in front of the right regional agency and the right suppliers.
Morocco chosen over Eastern Europe and Asia.
Search, valuation, title checks, negotiation, permits, staffing and the operating licence. The buyer flew in three times. We handled everything in between and stayed on the file until the doors opened.
One file, one contact, from first visit to opening.
Arqan Oil had certified organic argan oil stuck in the port of Casablanca on a customs classification dispute, with a European customer waiting and a shelf-life clock running. We knew the office and the person in it. The file moved that same week.
Shipment released, customer kept.
Rachid does not send you a report. He picks up the phone, and the next day you are sitting with the person who decides.
Founder
06 — Founder
MoroccoConsult is Rachid Et-Taïbi. Belgian-Moroccan, 25+ years in international business, and one thing most Morocco consultants cannot say: he has actually run a company there.
He built an organic argan oil producer in Morocco from nothing. Two entities, around 500 people, the full chain from the land to the export container, certified in Morocco and in Belgium.
He has hired, fired, negotiated with ministries, argued with customs and paid Moroccan salaries at the end of the month. That is the difference between reading about a market and surviving one.
07 — Questions
Companies. Funds, family groups, industrial SMEs, hotel and agriculture investors, and the boards behind them. We do not work with private individuals looking for a holiday home or a retirement plot.
Every engagement starts with a business decision: enter, produce, buy, expand, or walk away.
You can, and the procedures are real. Morocco has an investment charter, regional investment centres and a working administration. The paperwork is not the problem.
The problem is that a file in Morocco moves at the speed of the person carrying it. Foreign companies routinely wait months on a step that takes days once the right office knows who you are and why your project matters to their region.
You are not paying us to know the rules. You are paying us so that the person on the other side of the desk already knows us.
We map the route, open the doors and stay on the file. In practice: shortlisting sites and partners, sitting in the meetings, translating both language and intent, pushing permits, checking who you are really dealing with, and telling you when a deal smells wrong.
We sit on your side of the table. We take no commission from the other side.
It depends on the file. Short assignments run on a fixed fee. Longer market-entry or relocation projects run on a retainer with a defined scope, and some engagements include a success component.
You get a written quote after the first conversation, before any work starts. The first conversation costs nothing.
A standard company can be registered in a matter of weeks. That is rarely the real question.
Getting the licences, the site, the workforce, the banking and the first customer in place usually takes three to nine months depending on the sector. Industrial projects that need land and building permits take longer.
You get a realistic timeline in step two, not an optimistic one.
Yes. Morocco is the base, not the ceiling. Moroccan banks, insurers, telecoms and industrial groups have been operating across West and Central Africa for two decades, and the African Continental Free Trade Area opens 54 markets.
We use those existing Moroccan roads into Africa instead of building new ones from Europe.
No, and that is the point. Relationships built over 25 years survive because they are not advertised, resold or leaked into a pitch deck.
You will meet the people you need to meet, one file at a time. Your own name is handled with exactly the same discretion.
09 — Contact
Tell us what you are trying to build. If Morocco is not the right answer, you will hear that first, and it will not cost you anything.
